cLOUDDEAD - Dead Dogs Two

One day in 2007 I walked into a record store in Bloomington, IN and this song was playing. I went directly to the counter and acquired a new favorite artist.

The group is comprised of a lyrical duo, Why and Doseone, backed up by Odd Nosdom's production. All three have gone on to make some really great music, but in my opinion very little of it touches the dreamy beats and vocal work of Clouddead's 2001 self-titled album.

Interesting tidbit from ninjatune

Lacking a sequencer, the whole thing was layered up on an eight track. The 10"s were released by Mush, heard by Big Dada, and their first, eponymous, album was released by the two labels.

Truly impressive work.
